Three Situations the Kubota SCL1000 Specifically Wins
The SCL1000 doesn’t win every job — full-size machines move more material faster on open ground. What it wins is a specific set of residential access and minimal-damage situations full-size machines can’t reach.
Backyard Access Through a 36″ Gate
The most common SCL1000 win. Standard residential backyard gates are 36 inches wide; full-size skid steers at 60-plus inches can’t enter. The SCL1000 threads through and handles brush pile loading, hot tub removal, shed demo prep, paver removal, and every other backyard task — no fence disruption.
Lawn Crossing Without Turf Damage
A person walking on grass exerts about 8 PSI. Full-size skid steers can exert 20-plus PSI, which ruts, compacts, and tears residential turf. The SCL1000 at 4 PSI exerts about half of pedestrian foot traffic — measured across the tracks, it doesn’t damage a healthy residential lawn.
Tight-Access Urban Jobs
Older Lakeland neighborhoods (Cleveland Heights, Lake Hollingsworth, Christina), urban Plant City, and tight-lot Winter Haven properties have narrow side-yard access, shared driveways, and constrained work areas full-size equipment can’t navigate. The SCL1000 fits the geometry.

Describe the work — text photos
Text (863) 344-5806 photos of the work area, the task, and the material or debris involved — a wide shot for context, a close-up of the specific work, and access shots showing driveway approach and gate width.
Verbal quote plus a texted written quote
Standalone work is quoted at $300 minimum for the first 1 to 2 hours, $100 per hour after. The written quote covers estimated duration, attachments used, and any material moving or disposal included.
Attachment selection
The right attachment for the task is on the trailer before arrival — bucket for grading and material moving, forks for pallet and heavy placement, grapple for brush and mixed debris. Attachments change on-site as the task shifts.
Site walk-through — access & lawn plan
Before the machine offloads, Donny walks the access route with you — gate width confirmation, lawn-crossing plan, sprinkler-head marking, and utility flags. Sunshine 811 is coordinated if the work involves ground penetration.
The work — machine plus operator on task
Donny runs the machine on every job. Standalone work usually completes in 1 to 3 hours; multi-attachment jobs sometimes extend to a half-day. Time is tracked in 15-minute increments after the first hour.
Walk-through and rake-clean
Every job ends with a walk-through and a rake-clean of the work area — debris picked up, track marks smoothed where the machine crossed the lawn. In most cases the lawn returns to normal without additional repair.
Rate Card, What’s Included & Bundles
Standard Rate Card
$300 minimum for the first 1 to 2 hours of on-site work, then $100 per hour after (tracked in 15-minute increments). Attachment changes on the same visit — bucket, forks, grapple — at no additional charge. Multi-hour or half-day jobs are quoted per project after an on-site walk-through.
What’s Included
Machine and operator, all standard attachments (bucket, forks, grapple), fuel, the on-site walk-through, delivery of the machine within the 20-mile radius, and a rake-clean of the work area at completion.
What’s Not Included
Material disposal — the haul-off of resulting brush, junk, or demo debris. Bundled disposal is quoted on the same estimate for a lower total than booking it as a separate service.
The Bundle Math with Disposal
Standalone machine work most often gets bundled into a disposal category — the machine loads what needs to be hauled and the same visit hauls it. Combined pricing is meaningfully lower than machine time plus a separate junk-hauling call. Ask on the estimate.
Payment Terms
Cash, check, credit/debit, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App (3.7% fee on card/electronic; cash and check free). Standalone jobs run payment on completion.
