Single-Item, Whole-Room, or Pre-Move & Estate
Single-Item Pickup
The most common call. One piece needs to go — the couch that doesn’t fit the new living room, the guest-room dresser that no longer matches, the dining table replaced by a new one. The $150 minimum covers most standard single-item pickups, and same-day and next-day pickup is common when the schedule allows.
Whole-Room Clear-Out
You’re replacing an entire room’s furniture — the living room set, the bedroom set, the dining set. Multi-piece bundle pricing brings the per-item cost below single-pickup rates. Polk Services handles the whole-room clear-out in one job window and hauls everything to the correct disposal or donation channel.
Pre-Move or Estate
You’re moving and the movers won’t take the old furniture; the estate is being cleared and the family designated specific pieces for haul-off; the property is turning over between tenants. Polk Services handles the furniture-removal side of these situations, coordinated on your specific timeline.

Our Process, Start to Finish
Text photos to (863) 344-5806
Text is the fastest way to a furniture pickup quote — send pictures of the item, close-ups of any damage, and access photos (door width, hallway, stairs, elevator if applicable). Donny reviews directly and quotes by return message when possible.
Free estimate — photo quote or walk-through
Photo quotes are almost always accurate for single-item and small multi-piece pickups. On-site walk-throughs help with whole-room clear-outs and specialty heavy items where access geometry matters. Free either way.
Verbal + texted written quote
Every pickup is priced twice — verbal on the call, then written by text. The written quote is all-inclusive: pickup labor, hauling, and disposal fees. No hidden fees, no surprise charges at the truck.
Scheduling — same-day & next-day when available
Priority scheduling for furniture pickups — the whole workflow is built for speed. Most standard single-item pickups start within 24 hours of the accepted quote; whole-room clear-outs and larger scope get slotted by your timeline.
Text 30 minutes before we arrive
You get a text 30 minutes before the truck rolls up. If you can’t be on-site, leave the item where it can be reached and Polk Services runs the pickup unattended, then confirms completion by photo.
Pickup, load & broom-clean the area
The crew loads the furniture, hauls it to the correct disposal or donation channel, and broom-cleans the pickup area before driving off — your room or garage is left clean, no dust or debris where the item came out.
Pricing, Donation & Bundles
Minimums & Pricing Tiers
$150 minimum for a single-item pickup — one couch, one dresser, one dining table, or one piece of patio furniture. Larger and heavier items (piano-scale, industrial sectionals, oversized specialty) are priced above the minimum. Whole-room and multi-piece bundle pricing drops the per-item cost significantly when the crew is on-site for a batch.
Donation Coordination
Furniture in good condition often qualifies for donation rather than the landfill. Polk Services flags donation-eligible items during the walk-through and, if you want, coordinates delivery to a receiving organization — which reduces landfill volume and sometimes reduces your disposal fee.
Bundle Pricing
Combining furniture removal with household junk removal, an estate cleanout, a garage cleanout, or a full property cleanup brings the total below what separate pickups would charge. Ask on the estimate call.
Heavy Specialty Items
Pianos, pool tables, industrial safes, and oversized specialty pieces are priced case-by-case above the standard minimum. The Kubota SCL1000 handles the physical lift, which is what makes those pieces manageable for a small operator to remove.
Payment Terms
Cash, check, credit/debit, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App (3.7% fee on card/electronic; cash and check free). Standard pickups run payment on completion.

Seven Details That Separate a Polk Services Furniture Pickup
Access Geometry — Why Interior Photos Matter
Pickup depends on getting the item OUT. Door widths, hallway corners, stair angles, and elevator dimensions decide whether a piece clears the exit path. Polk Services checks access photos before the truck arrives — no showing up to a couch that won’t clear the door.
Heavy Furniture With the Mini Skid Steer
Piano-scale items, industrial sectionals, and oversized pieces are clumsy on a dolly. The Kubota handles the lift — safer for the crew (no back injuries), the piece (no drops), and the floor (no drag marks or corner damage).
Donation Routing Efficiency
Not every donation route is worth the time. Close, clearly eligible, easy drop-offs make sense; multi-stop detours don’t. Polk Services makes the call during pickup and flags you when a donation isn’t efficient for a specific item.
Damaged Furniture Handling
Broken pieces with exposed nails, sharp metal, or damaged upholstery need different handling. Polk Services identifies them at the walk-through, handles with gloves and secondary wrapping, and routes them to the correct facility.
Multi-Piece Sequencing
Whole-room clear-outs go perimeter-first to clear a path, tight-access items last once there’s room to maneuver. Wrong sequence doubles crew time through rework — Polk Services plans it at the walk-through.
Flood-Damaged Furniture
Waterlogged furniture weighs far more and can harbor mold or biological contaminants. Polk Services handles it with appropriate PPE and routes it through the correct disposal facility.
Broom-Clean the Pickup Area
The last step is broom-clean — dust from behind the couch, debris from moving pieces, leftover packing material — swept before the crew drives off. The room leaves ready to use, not a mess where the item came out.
